Since Some Assembly Required - CCU Parent Support was founded by parents of children with severe congenital heart defects (CHDs) who have spent time with their children in and out of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, we saw firsthand how important it was for families to stay connected as much as possible. However, the reality is many parents need to come and go from the hospital to maintain jobs, care for other children at home, and take care of themselves. Parking fees should never separate a child from a loved one.
